Hair Care
Hair care is essential in order to provide longevity in our extensions. Any negligence can result in decreased life span. When dying hair we suggest seeking a professional to avoid over processing your extensions as this can reduce the life span, alter curl patterns, etc. We have provided some hair care tips below and if followed carefully you can get the best out of your extensions!
Â
Hair Care TipsÂ
Â
Daily Maintenance: Brush from ends to roots. Apply light oil (argan, jojoba, almond) to prevent from drying out & maintain luster. Avoid heavy oils this will weigh the hair down. Style as preferred.
Â
Night Time Maintenance: Detangle, Cover with silk bonnet & ScarfÂ
Â

Wet hair (cold water)

Apply dime sized amount of sulfate free shampoo (Shea Moisture, Creme of Nature, Organics) in half full sink of cold water. Mix in. Dip hair in and out continuously in water/shampoo mixture.
Rub hair in downward motion. (Never rub in circular motion this will cause unwanted tangling)
Comb through from ends to roots with wide tooth comb/ brush.
Rinse thoroughly. Add conditioner, detangle & let it sit for 10 mins.
Rinse out. T-shirt dry, then let air dry. (blow drying dries out your extensions)
Â
How To Define Your Curly Extensions:

Add our “Clutch Foam” or your preferred mousse/curling serum for soft wet look.
Brush through again and let air dry.
Avoid touching your hair after the curls have set to reduce frizz.

Want The Bone Straight Look?
(CURLY HAIR TEXTURES CAN BE STRAIGHTENED HOWEVER RESULTS MAY VARY)
Make sure hair is CLEAN and thoroughly detangled.
Use a heat protectant (Our Clutch Shine Mist is great for this and silkening your extensions)
Place flat iron on 375-415 degrees. (using higher temperatures excessively can cause hair to dry out quicker)
Take small sections that are thin enough for heat to easily pass through when flat ironing. Use the comb chase method (running a comb in the front of flat iron while straightening) or a straightening brush for best results.Â
Use a light finishing spray to tame additional fly-aways.
Â
HOW TO PREP THE HAIR ON YOUR LACE FOR A FLAT FOUNDATION:
Part your hair off into the style you’re trying to achieve. (Example: part into a middle part.)
Use a hair clip for each side to keep both sections separated. Within each section, part off smaller sections and apply wax stick to lay down fly-aways.
Follow up with using the hot comb to press the hair in the direction you want it to lay. This will “lock” the hair into place and make it lay flat.Â
